Why are we here?

The great seers and sages of India known as Rishis sat in perpetual contemplation of the universe.  Just like us they questioned the purpose of man's existence.  Through their deep meditations they received the answer from the Universe.   The answer is "leela".

Translated from the sanskrit, "leela" means "to play".

We are simply here to enjoy this existence and to have fun.  Think of your time here as a visit to the nicest hotel and you are the guest of honor.  Everything is free and decadent.  Know that none of it is yours and that you will check out in the end.

Enjoy your stay.

Aum......the imperishable sound

OM,
The imperishable sound, is the seed of
All that exists
The past, the present, the future -
All are but the unfolding of OM
And whatever transcends the three realms of time,
That indeed is the flowering of OM

- Upanishads

OM or AUM is a Sanskrit letter. It is deemed to be the most powerful letter of the Sanskrit alphabet. Sanskrit is the most sacred written language known to man. All languages are thought to be derived from Sanskrit.

The legend of OM is that when the universe was created, it was created by the vibration of OM.

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
(Psalm 33:6,9)

Interesting overlap.....

When you OM at the end of a yoga class, you are sending peace to the world and to yourself. OM resonates with the color white or gold. OM resonates with your crown chakra. The crown chakra is your direct dial-up to the heavens.

Namaste.

Final week of our detox

SESSION UPDATE:  WEEK 4

This month's session is wrapping up.  All the participants have learned so much about Ayurveda and the weight shift has been impressive.  This week is the final week and participants are enjoying meditation twice a day, yoga daily and professional Ayuvedic massage.  Many are feeling lots of energy, but many are also feeling a bit tired as their bodies eliminate toxins.  This final week is focused on taking time for themselves and relaxing.  The body is healing.

I encourage all the participants to really take it easy this week.  Take some time off of work, get a babysitter, go for yoga, walking, meditation and journaling.   This final week is a vacation from the world to reconnect with yourself.

We are looking at our summer schedule and making plans for the next event.  EOM really would like to bring this to your group!  If you are a social network or business group, give us a call.  You will be amazed at the transformation in your friends, family and business associates.  Call us at 513.315.5042 or email elementalom@mac.com.
